Measurement Principle of the CM-25d Spectrophotometer
The CM-25d employs the same d/8° integrating sphere optical system as its higher-end siblings. Two pulsed xenon lamps illuminate a Spectralon-coated 52mm integrating sphere, producing perfectly diffuse illumination across the sample surface. The 8° detector captures reflected spectral energy from 360–740 nm through a diffraction grating and 36-pixel photodiode array. Double-beam referencing ensures stable measurements over time. SCI mode captures total reflectance (diffuse + specular), while SCE mode excludes the specular component for results that correlate with visual perception.
